I felt really confident approaching this match that it would be the one we could potentially kickstart our season with. Despite our previous results, I’ve been proud of the progress we’ve made and optimistic that we have the players, but most importantly the application, to turn it around after some very tight losses.

Today WAS the day, first half in particular we dominated and throughout the game our organisation and effort was very good. I could therefore find much to praise everyone in the team individually, but most importantly as a collective. Positive instruction, highlighting things to team mates they may have missed or switched off from, covering their mates. Great to see.

Some highlights are Harry in the first half, Charlie throughout but particularly in the second half, and Louis for his effort and workrate… but I do have to give motm to Cody for his hat trick (and no I’m not awarding their own goal as your 4th!!). A really comprehensive display. We move off the bottom and can focus on the gap between us and the next team now.
